High ceilings are becoming increasingly common in homes. To ensure that a ceiling fan performs optimally, it is important to use a Hunter® 3/4 inch downrod to set the fan at the appropriate height. Hunter® extension downrods are designed to match Hunter® fans in terms of fit and finish. They also feature tapered threads for a more secure connection.
The ETL listed downrod is compatible with both Hunter and Casablanca fans, except for the Hunter Original fan. Its threaded connection is specifically designed to provide sturdy support while seamlessly blending with our Ceiling Fan finishes.
For ceilings that are 10 feet high, we recommend using a 12 inch downrod. However, please note that our downrods are intended for indoor use only.
